FABRIC SUGGESTION
1. Cotton: A lightweight cotton fabric, such as cotton lawn or cotton voile, would work well for a comfortable and breathable tunic. These fabrics have a soft drape and are easy to sew.

2. Linen: Linen is a natural fiber known for its breathability and durability. It has a slightly more structured look and provides a lovely casual aesthetic. Choose a medium-weight linen for this tunic pattern.

3. Rayon Challis: Rayon challis is a lightweight, soft, and flowy fabric that drapes beautifully. It has a smooth texture and is often used for making dresses and blouses. It would create a comfortable and feminine tunic.

4. Chambray: Chambray is a lightweight cotton fabric that resembles denim but is softer and more lightweight. It has a casual and versatile look, making it suitable for a variety of tunic styles.

FABRIC ESTIMATES
Depending on the garment size, from 2.20 to 2.55 yards of 60-inch width fabric.

TRIMS & ACCESSORIES
● Buttons: You will need at least one button for the back closure opening. Choose a button that complements your fabric and desired aesthetic. The size of the button should match the loop you create in Step 10 of the instructions.

● Trim fabric: You will need a small amount of fabric to create a bias strip for the loop in Step 10. Choose a fabric that coordinates with your tunic fabric. The fabric should be lightweight and easy to fold and sew.

● Thread: Use a thread color that matches or complements your fabric. It’s always a good idea to have extra spools of thread in case you run out during the sewing process.

● Pins: Use straight pins to hold fabric pieces together during sewing. Choose sharp pins that glide easily through the fabric.

● Hand sewing needle: You will need a hand sewing needle to baste the loop to the back closure opening and sew the button in place.

● Loop turner or safety pin: This is useful for turning the bias strip right side out in Step 10. If you don’t have a loop turner, you can use a safety pin attached to one end of the strip to help turn it.
