FABRIC SUGGESTION
1. Cotton twill: Cotton twill is a versatile and durable fabric that would work well for this skirt. It has a tight weave and a soft texture that would drape nicely for a flattering fit. Plus, cotton twill comes in a wide range of colors and prints, so you can choose a fabric that suits your style.

2. Linen blend: Linen is a lightweight and breathable fabric that is perfect for warm weather. A linen blend with a touch of rayon or cotton would give the skirt a soft and flowy look, while also providing some structure and stability. Linen blend fabrics come in a variety of colors and textures, from smooth and shiny to slubby and rustic.

3. Wool crepe: Wool crepe is a luxurious and elegant fabric that would make a beautiful midi flared skirt. It has a soft and slightly textured surface that drapes well and provides some warmth and weight. Wool crepe comes in a range of solid colors, from muted neutrals to rich jewel tones, and would look especially lovely with a satin or silk lining.

FABRIC ESTIMATES
Depending on the garment size, from 3.45 to 3.88 yards of 60-inch width fabric.

TRIMS & ACCESSORIES
1. Zipper: You will need a zipper that is at least 8 inches (20 cm) long for the back closure of the skirt. Choose a zipper that matches the color and weight of your fabric, and consider using a metal or plastic zipper depending on the look you want to achieve.

2. Thread: You will need thread that matches the color of your fabric for all the sewing steps. Choose a good quality thread that is suitable for the weight and type of fabric you are using.

3. Interfacing: Depending on the weight and structure of your fabric, you may need interfacing to reinforce the waistband and zipper area. Choose a fusible interfacing that matches the weight and color of your fabric, and follow the instructions carefully to apply it correctly.

4. Button: You will need a button that matches the color and style of your fabric for the waistband closure. Choose a button that is appropriate in size for the buttonhole, and make sure it is securely attached to the waistband.

5. Hemming tape: You may want to use hemming tape or hemming web to help you create a clean and even hemline. Hemming tape is a double-sided adhesive that you can iron onto the hem allowance to hold it in place, making it easier to stitch the hem without puckering or unevenness.
